Job Summary
Maintain full stock conditions on frozen food and dairy display racks and shelves while ensuring products are displayed according to company standards and regulatory food safety practices. Operate a pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reload trucks with return items, inspect dated product for rotation or disposal, and collect trash into bailers. Assist customers by responding to price check questions, exchanging products, and promoting sales through suggestive selling initiatives while providing a friendly, service-oriented attitude. Greet shoppers, answer questions, and resolve complaints to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Adhere to all safety procedures, including taking precautionary measures when using equipment and reporting unremediable hazards to a supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Food Handler certification
- Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack
- Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment
- Ability to handle objects gently to avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property
- Ability to safely work with sharp objects such as knives, box cutters, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to attend work
