Job Summary

Manages achievement of department sales and profits in the perishable department using acceptable business practices. Provides leadership of department personnel, hires/trains/develops partners, plans and directs work, and reviews historical data to predict sales from ads/promotions. Ensures proper in-stock levels and rotates dated products, enforces food safety standards, and promotes customer service through suggestive selling and attractive displays. Maintains inventory accuracy for frozen food and dairy displays, supports safety and sanitation, and communicates performance to upper management. Requires ability to lead and motivate a team, adapt to flexible schedules including nights/weekends/holidays, and operate tools and equipment associated with perishable operations while maintaining a friendly, service-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of related experience
  • Food Handler certification
  • Manager Food Safety certification
  • AML certification
  • HIPAA certification
  • TABC/LACT/AATC certification where applicable
