Perioperative Tech l - Surgical Suite

Provide direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative area under the guidance of a registered nurse. Assist with room turnovers, patient transport, and equipment care while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards. Perform unit secretary duties, including telephone messages, and handle highly technical service-specific equipment such as microscopes and lasers. Assist the RN with patient positioning, vital signs, and specimen handling, ensuring compliance with National Patient Safety Goals. Monitor oxygen cylinders and maintain supplies in pre and post-operative areas. Act as a liaison with the Biomedical Department and manage hazardous material disposal.
