Job Summary
Conduct perioperative scrub and scout duties for orthopaedic cases at St Vincent's Private Hospital Kew campus. Coordinate instrument and supply preparation for surgical teams while maintaining strict adherence to ANZCA, ACORN, and NSQHS standards. Manage inventory and ensure efficient workflow during high-volume, fast-paced procedures. Participate in a rotating 6-day roster to support varying hospital operational needs. Requires current AHPRA registration and a postgraduate certificate in perioperative nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a scrub scout nurse
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the specialty of orthopaedics
- Current AHPRA registration
- Working knowledge of ANZCA, ACORN and NSQHS Standards
- Flexibility to work varying days/hours to meet the operational needs of the hospital
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
