Job Summary
The Perioperative Resource Nurse provides high-level clinical nursing care in ORs, filling workforce gaps in high vacancy areas. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions, evaluating and documenting care responses, and providing patient education. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and two years of acute care experience. Candidates must pass the NCLEX and ideally be proficient in multiple surgical services. The position emphasizes patient advocacy and adherence to clinical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Two years of recent experience in an acute care operating suite
- Pass the NCLEX
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in two or more services (General, Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Plastics, DaVinci Robotics, Cardiology, GI, Vascular, Trauma)
- Ability to both scrub and circulate cases
