Job Summary
Conduct room turnover by removing trash, cleaning all operating room areas including the table, making the table up, and mopping floors. Gather equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for surgical cases, and change OR tables when necessary. Perform room setup by making the bed and positioning necessary equipment appropriately for the next or first case of the day. Transport specimens to the lab and take returns to the CSP, storing items away that live in the OR upstairs. Work on your feet the entire shift requiring comfortable, supportive footwear. This role is available PRN at Cooper University Health Care's Camden Campus, a Level I Adult Trauma Center, with a schedule of 230-11PM including weekend and holiday rotations. Current NJ-BLS certification and acute care hospital experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Weekend, holiday and rotation required
- 230-11PM
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Care Hospital experience preferred (i.e.: Nursing Assistant, Unit Secretary, PCS, etc.)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Visual and auditory acuity for information retrieval and computer monitor use
