Job Summary
Perioperative Assistant supports operating room readiness by cleaning, disinfecting, stocking supplies, and preparing surgical rooms; assists nursing staff and management with resource coordination, inventory control, and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment for patient care. Requires a high school diploma or GED and strong English communication; on-the-job training provided. 40-hour schedule with day/evening rotation and every 3rd weekend; compensation range $20.68-$25.20 per hour plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or state high school equivalency (GED) preferred additional training beyond high school
- Working knowledge of basic housekeeping and cleaning procedures in surgical areas preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English, effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; ability to push/pull carts of instruments/equipment
- Multilingual skills preferred
