Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative area under the guidance of the registered nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with room turnovers, transportation of patients, stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and a strong understanding of perioperative practices, including aseptic technique and patient safety principles. Ability to handle specialized medical equipment and perform patient monitoring tasks is essential. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant healthcare experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One (1) year experience in a healthcare related occupation or completion of first semester of RN/LPN program or six months experience in a Perioperative Tech I role or successful completion of a certificate program (i.e. Certified Surgical Tech Cleaner or Certified Nursing Assistant)
