Job Summary
Evaluate and manage high-risk pregnancies, including maternal comorbidities, obstetric complications, and fetal anomalies. Provide consultation services to obstetricians and other referring providers while performing advanced obstetric ultrasound and fetal diagnostic studies. Develop individualized care plans for complex conditions and deliver antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care as appropriate. Collaborate with neonatology, genetics, anesthesia, and other specialties through multidisciplinary case conferences. Counsel patients and families regarding pregnancy risks and management options, while supervising residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
- Completion of an accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Expertise in high-risk obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine
- Advanced diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficiency in obstetric ultrasound and fetal assessment
- Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary care teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
- Must maintain state certification and/or licensure
