Job Summary
Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for OB/GYN services, performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations with specialization in fetal assessment. Applies fetal ultrasound principles to evaluate fetal anomalies, maternal uterus, cervix and ovaries, and conducts complex twin/triplet scans in coordination with in-office multiple gestation service. Maintains detailed patient histories and ultrasound logging, prepares patients for Level I & II ultrasounds and related procedures (amniocentesis, PUBS, amnio reduction, external cephalic version, GYN ultrasound), identifies fetal and gynecologic anomalies, and communicates findings to physicians. Operates General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines, maintains proficiency in evolving technology, and supports collaboration with obstetric offices and hospital staff. Requires an Associates degree in Ultrasound (Bachelor’s preferred), 1+ year OB/GYN ultrasound experience, ARDMS certification, and BLS. Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Ultrasound, required
- ARDMS, required
- RDMS-OBGYN – highly preferred
- BLS required
- Must be certified in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance with state regulations
