Job Summary
Perinatal Ultrasound Technician performs OB/GYN ultrasound examinations with a focus on fetal and gynecologic assessments. Responsibilities include applying fetal ultrasound principles to evaluate fetal anomalies, identifying gynecologic anomalies, operating GE/Accuson/Medison/ATL ultrasound machines, maintaining ultrasound logging records, preparing patients for Level I & II ultrasounds and related procedures (e.g., amniocentesis, PUBS, external cephalic version), exercising independent judgment in interpreting Biophysical Profiles, and communicating findings to physicians. Requires an Associate degree in Ultrasound (Bachelor’s preferred), ARDMS with RDMS-OBGYN (highly preferred), and BLS certification. The role is full-time, with no nights or weekends indicated, and is located in Bedford, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Ultrasound, required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- A minimum of one-year specialty (OBGYN) Ultrasound Tech / Technician experience required
- ARDMS, required
- RDMS-OBGYN – highly preferred
- BLS required
- Must be certified in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance with state regulations
