Job Summary

Perinatal Loss Program Coordinator leads the perinatal loss program, serving as expert clinician and resource for staff, physicians, families, and the broader organization. Responsibilities include educating and precepting staff through the bereavement process, coordinating care pathways and protocols, organizing and prioritizing patient care activities in Labor & Delivery, providing direct culturally appropriate care to patients and families, facilitating pregnancy and infant loss support groups, collaborating with Marketing as a spokesperson for perinatal loss, contributing to unit budgeting and policy/procedure development, and submitting monthly activity reports to the Clinical Director of Labor and Delivery. Requires RN in Labor & Delivery with at least three years of experience, approved nursing program graduate, applicable specialty certifications, professional organization membership, and BLS certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of approved nursing program
  • Minimum three years experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
  • Specialty Certifications required
  • Professional Organization Membership required
  • Adherence to credentialing requirements of AAMC as stated in the nursing bylaws
