Job Summary
Perform initial OB screening, schedule visits, and triage phone calls to medically case manage the obstetric population. Conduct daily hospital rounds, maintain patient charts, and provide education including Lamaze classes and prematurity prevention counseling. Assist with gynecological procedures, perform point of care lab testing, and manage inventory of exam room supplies. Document all patient contacts, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to infection control policies while supporting community agency linkages. Travel frequently for local patient care and business meetings, including evenings and weekends. Requires a registered nurse with a Colorado license, CPR certification, and mathematical reasoning skills.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with valid Colorado license
- Additional training in health education
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance as required by law
- Current B.L.S. with skills demonstration C.P.R. certification for Healthcare Providers
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand verbal information, ability to exchange verbal information with others and ability to present information verbally
- Ability to read and understand written materials and ability to compose information/instruction in written form
- Ability to memorize
- Ability to reason mathematically and to have analytical and problem solving skills
- Frequent travel including day-to-day local travel for patient care, business meetings, community events, etc, some of which may occur during evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
