Job Summary
Manages circulatory and respiratory functions of the heart-lung machine during surgical procedures. Oversees extracorporeal circulation and cardiopulmonary support. Monitors invasive pressure of arterial and Swan-Ganz catheters. Operates autotransfusion and cell saver for surgical procedures. Records intraoperative STS data for the adult cardiac surgery registry. Supervises the intra-aortic balloon pump in the CVOR. Maintains and cares for capital equipment. Remains available for on-call status for emergent CABG/Perfusion cases. Operates point-of-care blood testing devices. Manages the heparin management system. Documents all relevant information in the medical record. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in perfusion or circulation technologies certification
- Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) [Required]
- Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) [Required]
- Education: Bachelor's [Required]
- Licenses and Certifications: CCP [Required]
- Knowledge of perfusion equipment and monitoring devices
- Pharmacology for Perfusion procedures
- STS data collection and evaluation [Preferred]
- ECMO and TAVR knowledge [Preferred]
- Cerner PMR documentation experience [Preferred]
- Certificate: CCP, BLS, ACLS [Required/Preferred]
- 1+ years of experience [Preferred]
