Job Summary
Provides perfusion coverage for open heart procedures and standby for closed heart procedures and the Cardiac Cath Lab; available for ECMO start-up and troubleshooting and CPS; educator for students and staff; collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to plan daily care and ensure patient safety; submits data for departmental budgeting; performs medication administration per policy, records documentation, and maintains perfusion equipment; ensures continuity of care through handoffs and coordinates with physicians and support personnel; demonstrates evidence-based practice, analytical thinking, and effective communication while maintaining confidentiality and composure under stress; sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in perfusion science or perfusion technology from accredited program
- CPR BLS - American Heart Association
- Eligible to sit for national boards or actively pursuing certification (CCP)
