Job Summary
Perfusionist/ECMO Specialist participates in the development of a treatment plan for ECMO patients, coordinating with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret, adjust and implement care. Responsible for education and contributes to the programs future by applying personal insights. Works under mentorship with the director, with day and night shift flexibility. Offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and up to $4,000 in relocation. Requires a Bachelors degree, ECMO training, RN or RRT or CCP license, BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience. Location: Methodist Dallas Medical Center, Seagoville, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.
- Licenses and/or Certifications: Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
- Or RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care Or CCP – Certified Perfusion License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
