Perfusionist (ECMO Specialist)

Job Summary
Perfusionist (ECMO Specialist) participates in developing and implementing an ECMO care plan for patients, coordinating with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and educate on treatment specific to the ECMO patient care plan. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, ECMO training, and licensure as RN (TX), RRT with NBRC, or CCP perfusion license, plus BLS and ACLS; minimum of 2 years of critical care experience. Work is conducted at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX, on a 12X3 day shift schedule, with on-site, in-person responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation
- Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing OR RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and NBRC certification OR CCP – Certified Perfusion License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
