Job Summary
Part-time Performing Arts Technical Director to plan, coordinate, and execute three large-scale theater productions per school year; oversee technical elements including set design/build, lighting, sound, and props; mentor student crews, guide students during rehearsals and tech week, and manage cue development, live transitions, and backstage safety; collaborate with the Production Team and Directors to deliver high-quality shows while fostering student technical skills, confidence, teamwork, and accountability; duties include scheduling, equipment specs, and overseeing the strike after each production; requires strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in theater/technical theater or related field
- proven experience in technical theater (set construction, lighting, and sound design)
- knowledge of theater safety
- strong organizational skills
- ability to mentor and motivate students
- willingness to submit letter of interest, resume, and references
