Performance Test Engineer - 18 month maximum contract role

Job Summary
Define and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies for C#/.NET applications deployed in AWS, utilizing k6 as the primary tool. Build and maintain reusable performance test frameworks while designing, developing, and executing load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests. Analyze system behavior under real-world conditions to identify bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers. Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines and diagnose performance issues. Lead non-functional testing for critical trading platforms to ensure scalability and resilience, producing clear reports with actionable recommendations for capacity planning and tuning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Performance Tester
- Strong experience in performance and non-functional testing
- Must have strong experience with K6 (JavaScript-based scripting)
- Experience testing C# / .NET applications
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and JSON
- Ability to analyse performance metrics (CPU, memory, latency, throughput, error rates)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
