Job Summary
Provide instruction in Performance Psychology courses on the NY campus using Blackboard Ultra, delivering two 2-hour sessions weekly. Create a learning environment emphasizing critical thinking, diversity, and inclusion while evaluating student progress and maintaining accurate academic records. Maintain current subject matter knowledge, professional ethics, and standards for part-time adjunct faculty. Apply discipline expertise to emerging performing artists within an online environment and fulfill related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal degree in the field of Performance Psychology, Sport Psychology or related Psychology field
- Extensive experience in higher education
- Master's degree in Performance Psychology, Sport or Exercise Psychology
- A minimum of three years of teaching in the related field of Performance Psychology and Sport Psychology in a post-secondary setting
- Experience with innovative teaching methodologies that focus on creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment
- Currency and depth of knowledge in the applicable field
- Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and practices that enhance student success at higher education institutions, including effective use of technology
- Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Active scholarship in related field
