Job Summary
Install and support commercial voice, video, and data customers across fiber networks, assisting with deployments during optical network upgrades. Provide technical support, remote diagnostics, and maintenance for equipment at headends, hubs, POP sites, and customer locations. Integrate new technologies and network system upgrades into existing infrastructure to support broadband fiber and coax connectivity for data, voice, and video services. This role requires 2+ years of experience in an Advanced Technician position, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in extreme weather while lifting loads up to 70 lbs. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $44,000 to $59,500.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in an Advanced Technician role (Shentel Broadband or Maintenance Tech) or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to climb ladders and work in high places
- Ability to work outdoors and in extreme weather conditions and varying topographic, wet and dry locations
- Up to 25% daily travel time
- Lifts and carries loads of 70 lbs. or more
- Works in spaces such as hubs/HE/POP/Network rooms
- Works while standing 50 -70% of the time
- Performs work near power sources
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
- Safe driving record
