Job Summary
Performance Expert will strengthen the physical and psychological health, resilience, and performance of Soldiers, Unit Leaders, Families, and DA Civilians at Army Installations. Responsibilities include instructing holistic strength and conditioning and resilience, conducting training intake/registration, tailoring course material, producing and distributing materials, facilitating training sessions, grading and documenting student work, and generating after-action reviews and quarterly analyses. The role requires developing training plans, maintaining training records, delivering education on resilience and performance enhancement, and delivering tailored programs to help personnel meet personal, professional, and family goals. Requires effective collaboration within a team, knowledge of Army doctrine, and the ability to certify instructors to ensure effective delivery. Preferred credentials include professional associations such as AASP, CMPC, ABSP, or the ability to obtain them within a year of hire. Salary is $60,000 annually with potential bonuses or relocation benefits; full-time position based at Joint Base San Antonio, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counseling Education, Coaching Education, or Kinesiology with specialized emphasis in sport/performance psychology
- Teaching or coaching experience, preferably with military and DoD personnel
- Thorough knowledge of Army organizational structure, mission objectives, procedures, regulations, and policy pertaining to the Department of the Army
- Prior to performing PE tasks, PEs shall be evaluated and certified to ensure PE’s can effectively deliver lessons
