Job Summary
Performance Excellence Analyst within the Organizational Development Team of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. Responsible for improving quality and efficiency of operations through analysis of business data and the development/implementation of procedures, processes, and organizational effectiveness. Uses advanced tools (Office 365, Project, Visio, Publisher, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, Excel) to map procedures, support accreditation/reaccreditation, and enhance customer service. Collaborates with managers and staff to write/revise procedures, maintains procedure-tracking databases, develops and assesses process maps, supports training and performance management activities, and participates in strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, in-office OPS position located in Broward County, with health benefits and eligibility for a deferred compensation plan. Must be able to work on-site and pass background checks and drug screening; requires ability to communicate effectively and to present to community audiences, with technical writing and data-analysis skills emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency
- This position requires current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. The Department of Health is unable to provide employment visa sponsorship
- This position is a full-time, in-office position. Willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions
- Technical writing experience
- Experience drafting procedures and working with management to revise and implement them
- Experience implementing quality improvement processes
- Work experience giving presentations in the community
- Experience creating process maps
- Valid driver’s license free of major infractions and access to an automobile to be utilized for work purposes and receive reimbursement for mileage
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, English or another related field
- A minimum of one year experience with data analysis
- A minimum of one year work experience with databases
- A minimum of one year experience handling customer inquiries and grievances
