Job Summary
Design and execute performance test plans to validate system stability, analyzing metrics to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements. Develop performance test tools, frameworks, and automation while conducting load and stress tests with complex workloads to expose failure points. Work with developers and stakeholders to fix performance issues, validate fail-over scenarios, and derive optimization opportunities from production trends. Prepare test reports with recommendations and research emerging methodologies to upgrade existing practices.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1.6-4 years of work experience in performance testing and analysis, preferably of a large-scale distributed web application in a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience in at least one programming language. Should be able to code independently.
- Strong experience with open-source performance testing tools (JMeter preferred) and frameworks.
- The ability to recognize performance issues and risk in a distributed web application.
- Good understanding of distributed systems, computer architecture, and operating systems.
- Experience in analyzing the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection, and DB Parameters and DB Report verifying the performance of the applications. Thread dump analysis.
- Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- The ability to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems, isolating them and finding the root cause.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
