Job Summary
Operate the perforation machine, shear, and surface grinder to produce perforated metal sheets, level the material, and place it on pallets. Load and unload steel coils using the overhead crane, and program, setup, and maintain specialized machinery to ensure zero-defect parts. Perform minor repairs on tools and dies, sharpen punches, and set up production necessities according to blueprint specifications. Work a regular schedule with on-the-job training available for CNC machinery experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 2-3 years minimum experience in metal fabrication including machine operation and tooling
- Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication
- Ability to understand technical drawings
- Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification
- Highly motivated and willing to work extended hours
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently
- Knowledge and hands-on operation of specialized perforation machinery including programming, setup, and maintenance
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Ear protection, steel toed boots, etc)
Desired Qualifications
- On the job training available if you have experience with CNC machinery
