Job Summary
Part-time remote 1099 psychiatrist sought to initiate visits, supervise peer support, and oversee Principal Illness Navigation - Peer Support services for members with serious behavioral health and substance use conditions. The role involves telehealth initiating visits, assessing high-risk conditions, determining medical necessity, creating/updating care/navigation plans, supervising peer support and care navigation services, documenting for quality and compliance, and providing clinical escalation when needed. Requires board-certified/eligible psychiatry, active licensure in TX/NC/FL/TN (multi-state preferred), Medicare enrollment eligibility, and strong documentation/communication in a remote, team-based care model.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry
- Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one of the following states: TX, NC, FL, or TN
- Ability to provide telehealth services to members in the state or states where licensed
- Medicare enrollment eligibility, with no sanctions, exclusions, or restrictions
- Experience treating substance use disorders, serious mental illness, or co-occurring behavioral health conditions
- Comfort working with peer support specialists, recovery coaches, care navigators, or similar team members
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, team-based care model
- Commitment to ethical, compliant, patient-centered care
