Job Summary
Per Diem Youth Support Counselor to support neurodiverse adolescents across school and residential programs. Role involves hands-on support in classrooms and residential routines, helping students develop emotional regulation, communication, social, and independent-living skills; assisting with daily living activities; implementing trauma-informed strategies (CPI, PBIS, ARC); crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed; collaborating with teachers, clinicians, nursing staff, and residential teams; and completing documentation to maintain a safe, structured therapeutic environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in residential, educational, or therapeutic settings preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- CPI, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred (training provided upon hire)
- Background check, TB screening, drug, and alcohol testing required prior to employment
