Job Summary
Per Diem Veterinary Technician needed to provide coverage for emergency and specialty services. Responsibilities include triaging incoming patients, client communication, assisting DVMs with patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, procedures, obtaining and processing laboratory samples, utilizing imaging modalities, completing treatments for hospitalized patients, monitoring and recovering sedation/anesthetic events, assisting during procedures, and supporting routine kennel duties. Requires excellent communication, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and CA RVT license or VACSP. Minimum 2-3 years clinical veterinary hospital experience with at least 1 year in specialty/ECC; 20+ hours per month; availability for 1-2 holidays/year. Compensation ranges from $17.75 to $40.00 hourly, varies by skill set and licensure. Ethos is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Current CA RVT license or VACSP required
- Minimum of 2-3 years clinical experience in a progressive veterinary hospital setting with at least 1 year of specialty/ECC
- Must be able to work a MINIMUM of 20 hours per month
- Must be available to work at least 1-2 holidays or company events per year
