Job Summary
Evaluate and manage acute illnesses and injuries across the lifespan through focused histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing interpretation. Perform procedures including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care while triaging higher-acuity patients appropriately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure efficient patient flow and complete accurate EHR documentation. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and participate in quality improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care setting. Shifts are on a per diem basis, potentially including weekend coverage, with a preference for candidates possessing urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts NP or PA license (or eligibility)
- DEA registration when applicable
- National certification appropriate to specialty
- BLS required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care experience
- ACLS preferred
- Preferred experience utilizing electronic health records
