Job Summary
Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic examinations for Maternal Fetal Medicine patients, producing images for physician interpretation. Conduct daily laboratory operations including equipment maintenance, quality assurance reviews, and high-level disinfection across all MFM locations. Utilize the PACS and EPIC EHR systems to enter proper exam coding and ensure timely completion of scheduled exams. Assist in supervising ultrasound students during clinical practicums and report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Maintain a high standard of medical ethics while demonstrating thorough knowledge of sonographic procedures and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma from an accredited 2 year ultrasound program
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Ob/Gyn
- Thorough knowledge of ultrasound equipment
- Strong written and oral communication
- Excellent analytical problem solving skills
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Diag Med Sonographer - OB/GYN license
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Fetal Echocardiography
- 3-5 years experience as an Ob/Gyn Ultrasound Technologist
- Knowledge of EPIC EHR and ASOB ultrasound reporting system
