Per Diem - Tissue Recovery Coordinator

Coordinate and monitor all aspects of tissue (ocular if applicable) recovery, including donor evaluation, screening, authorization, packaging, and shipping. Collect medical charts, laboratory data, and blood specimens to establish donor suitability, then document accurate records and maintain them per Quality Assurance policies. Collaborate with donor coordination, hospitals, EMS, and funeral directors throughout the recovery process while building professional relationships with contracted and non-contracted organizations. Provide call coverage for approximately 14-21 days per month, including weekends and holidays, and assist in staff recruitment, hiring, and training. Continuously evaluate processes to improve recovery operations and control expenditures.
