Per Diem, Switchboard Operator - Night Shift - Mineola

Answer all incoming calls to the Hospital's main telephone number and route them appropriately throughout the organization. Operates a telecommunications console and various peripheral communications equipment, including a personal computer, to connect callers to desired locations. Responds immediately to emergency calls for patient codes, life safety, and alarms, initiating appropriate responses and documenting actions as required. Pages hospital staff as needed, maintains the daily on-call list, and provides direction to visitors and volunteers. Assists at the Information Desk to access medical staff contact information and responds to requests for patient data.
