Job Summary
Per Diem Surgical RN in Atlanta, GA: provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care in the surgical suite during designated egg-retrieval batch weeks; perform preoperative assessment, IV starts, postoperative recovery, and discharge instructions; document care in the EMR; enforce aseptic techniques and safety standards; oversee surgical suite operations and equipment; mentor new staff and coordinate with the Surgery Manager on equipment/supply needs; requires an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN), active Georgia RN license (or compact), BLS, and at least 1 year of pre-op/PACU experience; must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work on-site in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Active Georgia RN license or multistate/compact license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a pre-op/PACU setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
