Job Summary
Per Diem RN in the Neurosciences ICU at UW Health (Madison, WI). Direct patient care in a 12-bed Neurosciences ICU (D4/4) caring for adults with neuro/vascular conditions (ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, TBI, hydrocephalus, aneurysm, etc.). Requires commitment to a minimum of 24 hours per six-week scheduling period; shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays. Work within a fast-paced, collaborative team; responsibilities include neuro assessments, vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, and other interventions. Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact (Upon Hire)
- Current CPR/BLS Certification (Upon Hire)
- ACLS within 6 months (Required)
- Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit (Required)
- BSN Preferred
- Relevant RN Experience Preferred
