Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care pre, during, and post procedure under the direction of the Facility Manager, Director of Nursing, or Charge Registered Nurse. Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after vascular access procedures, administering medications and IV moderate sedation as directed. Perform point-of-care laboratory testing, IV insertion, and act as a scrub technologist while maintaining sterile technique. Transport patients, operate facility equipment including patient monitors and defibrillators, and ensure a clean, safe environment by addressing blood spills and inspecting operating systems. Complete accurate medical records, chart audits, and usage logs for medications and controlled substances in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Confirm written orders, consents, and lab work delivery, and communicate patient concerns to facility management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure
- ACLS certification
- 4 - 6 years' related experience
- Office Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience
- Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office
- Proficient in IV insertion
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition
- Experience with Medical database software
- Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications
- Must be able to lift 200 lbs
- Must be able to bend over
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to move patients and equipment with assistance
- Must comply with HIPPA policies and standards regarding patient information and medical records
- Must comply with Fresenius Medical Care drug-free workplace policy
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree desirable
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
- 4 - 6 years' related experience preferred
