Job Summary

Provide direct nursing care pre, during, and post procedure under the direction of the Facility Manager or Charge RN, assisting physicians in optimum patient outcomes. Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after vascular access procedures, especially those involving moderate sedation and contrast media, while administering medications and IVs as directed. Perform point-of-care laboratory testing, IV insertion, and act as a scrub technologist maintaining sterile technique. Transport patients, operate facility equipment including monitors and defibrillators, and ensure a clean, safe environment by addressing blood spills and inspecting operating systems. Confirm written orders, consents, and lab work, complete accurate documentation from admission to discharge, and perform regular chart audits. Maintain competency with emergency operational procedures, initiate CPR as needed, and collaborate with facility management on adverse events and quality improvement initiatives. Requires Saturday availability; per diem compensation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
  • Current appropriate state licensure
  • ACLS certification
  • 4 - 6 years' related experience
  • Office Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience
  • Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in IV insertion
  • Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition
  • Experience with Medical database software
  • Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications
  • Saturday's are a requirement for this per diem role
  • Must be able to lift 200 lbs
  • Must be able to bend over
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to move patients and equipment with assistance

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree desirable
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • 4 - 6 years' related experience preferred
  • Office Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience preferred
