Job Summary
Prepare procedure rooms, position patients, and administer fluoroscopy during interventional radiology procedures while maintaining sterile technique. Set up supplies, process x-ray images, and ensure accurate patient billing and medical record compliance. Act as scrub assistant, Radiation Safety Officer, and Quality Improvement participant to support physicians and maintain facility standards. Review orders, manage inventory, and conduct equipment inspections per regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Current ARRT Certification
- State Licensure (as per state regulations)
- Successfully complete BLS certification
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 400 pounds
- Must be able to stand in a protective apron for up to 45-60 minutes
- 10% Travel
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree
- Interventional Radiology certificate
- 4 – 6 years' related experience
- 1 year experience for Candidates with ARRT
- Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment)
- Experience with interventional procedures, using/ordering/maintaining required materials/supplies for each procedure
- Knowledge and experience of sterile techniques
- Knowledge of universal precautions and personal protective devices to be utilized when operating radiology systems
- Experience with monitoring and maintaining inventory
- Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
