Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions through assessments, mental status evaluations, and treatment planning. Provide individual and group psychotherapy, prescribe medications, and manage ongoing care while participating in daily patient rounds. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, review EMR documentation, and provide clinical guidance to nursing and allied staff. Assist with crisis intervention, case discussions, and quality initiatives while responding to patient inquiries. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling within a collaborative behavioral health setting in Middletown, Connecticut.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Psychiatry
- Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
- Completion of at least one year of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Must maintain eligibility for participation in federal healthcare programs
