Job Summary
Provide comprehensive medical care, perform therapeutic measures, and prescribe medications including controlled substances per NYU Langone Health protocols. Evaluate treatment plans, coordinate clinical research studies, and monitor cost effectiveness. Educate patients and families, facilitate admission and discharge throughput, and collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to develop therapeutic plans. Maintain PA board certification, annual CME, and current expertise in cardiology and hyperbaric/wound healing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Physician Assistant Bachelor's Degree (BA-PA)
- Current New York State Physician Assistant License
- NCCPA Board Certification
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
- Physician Assistant Lic-NYS
- Ntl Com Cert Physician Asst
- Basic Life Support Cert
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a physician assistant or physician assistant fellowship experience
- At least 2 years of clinical rotation in various medical, surgical and other specialty areas
- Membership in professional specialty organizations
- Advanced Life Support certification (ACLS, PALS) through the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics
