Job Summary
Evaluate physical therapy needs and implement comprehensive, medically prescribed treatment for assigned patients in a supervised rehabilitation program. Conduct initial assessments by reviewing medical charts, clarifying treatment orders, and selecting appropriate tools to determine patient status. Teach and supervise fieldwork students and other educational endeavors, demonstrating genuine interest in enhancing their skills. Perform other duties as assigned, including completing all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement. Schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, as needed. Hourly rate is $65.00.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- BLS certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA, or the American Red Cross-ARC) OR CPR/AED certification (issued by the American Heart Association-AHA, or the American Red Cross-ARC)
- Physical Therapist Temporary Permit-NYS
- Physical Therapist License-NYS
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
