Job Summary
Provide appropriate therapy to promote mobility, functional ability, and quality of life through examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and physical intervention. Perform objective functional evaluations, establish plans of care with measurable goals, and implement age-appropriate treatments based on patient status. Maintain accurate documentation of examinations, diagnoses, and interventions. Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes and provide on-site clinical supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides. Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed while educating patients, families, and clinicians on functional status. Requires current NYS Physical Therapy license, BLS/CPR certification, and APTA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program)
- Current and valid NYS Physical Therapy license and registration or limited permit
- Current and valid BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association - Inpatient facility only
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills
- Basic computer skills
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program)
- Other Doctorate in Physcial Therapy (DPT) Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program)
- Current and valid BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association - Outpatient facility only
- 1- 2 years Hospital (Inpatient) or Orthopedic (Outpatient) Rehabilitation setting
- Experience in Neuro - Outpatient facility only
