Per Diem Phlebotomist I

Greet patients courteously, accurately record demographics, and process test information according to established procedures. Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures, label specimens, and process or deliver them as required. Accurately input and retrieve data from laboratory and hospital information systems while maintaining quality control and attending safety meetings. Report all problem punctures and accidents immediately using appropriate forms. Orient and train new employees, complete competency testing, and maintain a neat work area. If assigned to a non-acute care facility, escort patients, take vital signs, assist with patient flow, and transport patients during admission and discharge. Work variable shifts of 8 hours or less. This role supports Kaweah Health's mission to provide comprehensive health services to the greater Visalia area.
