Job Summary
Evaluate and treat pediatric patients in urgent care settings, managing acute injuries, illnesses, and procedural needs like abscess drainage and laceration repair. Provide expert assessment for in-person and telemedicine visits, including preliminary radiograph interpretation where applicable. Oversee daily operations and patient flow, coordinating with on-site and telemedicine teams to ensure timely lab and radiology result reviews. Enforce safety protocols, uphold quality standards, and maintain HIPAA compliance while contributing to service recovery and efficiency metrics. No overnight shifts; flexible schedules from 12 to 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Pediatric experience
- Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification
- Active RN (if applicable) and NP/PA state license for each state where treating patients
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies
- Minimum 2 years of independent pediatric clinical experience as an APP (outside of rotations) or at least 1 year in urgent care or emergency medicine
- Ability to think critically, multitask, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally
