Job Summary

Deliver patient care to fast track, med/surg, and critical care patients by performing splinting, dressing applications, wound care, and EKGs with cardiac monitoring. Assist in procedure setups including I&D, suture, vaginal exams, lumbar punctures, and chest tubes while conducting accurate triages and discharges for patients of all ages. Manage the patient tracking system, input discharge instructions and prescriptions into software, and turn over rooms per protocol. Communicate positively with team members and patients, professionally delegate tasks to front staff and radiology, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. This per-diem role requires travel up to 30% to support clinic operations across the market.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year's experience
  • BLS certified
  • Ability to work during the week from 9am-7pm; weekend days from 9am-4pm
  • Successfully pass a background and drug test
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with patients and employees and help support a culture of passion and enthusiasm
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage changing priorities
  • Attention to detail, attentiveness, computer skills, ability to follow written procedures
  • Basic math calculations, independent decision making
  • Interaction with others using tact and professionalism
  • Problem solving
  • Reading comprehension, verbal communication
  • Writing composition
  • Advanced English is required
  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences)
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to bend at the waist
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory setting
  • Must be able to work with automated machinery
  • Must be able to work with chemicals
  • Must be able to work with customers
  • Must be able to work in a teamwork environment
  • Must be able to work independently

Desired Qualifications

  • One (1) year previous related experience (Paramedic, EMT, ER Technician)
  • Paramedic or EMT experience is experience
  • Spanish and Creole are preferred
