Job Summary
Provides direct nursing care in the med/surg telemetry unit under RN supervision, performing a variety of patient care tasks per clinical pathways, including activities related to direct care, diagnostic testing, patient transport, and documentation. Mentors new team members and works within a patient-focused care model. Requires BLS/CPR, High School Diploma or equivalent, and either CNA certification with experience in acute/long-term care or eligibility as a 3rd-year BSN student with rotations; may include Medical Assistant or EMT background. Willing to be floated or reassigned to other departments/locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Basic life Support (BLS) - Active CPR certificate required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active CNA certificate or One (1) year of experience in a role as a PCA, Ed Tech or CNA in acute or long term care
- Good Communication Skills
- OR
- 3rd year BSN student who has completed two clinical rotations
- Medical Assistant
- OR
- EMT
