Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and financial data while entering information into the electronic medical record. Check in with patients to complete paperwork, direct them to appointments, and verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Resolve claim issues or registration errors, obtain cost information, and collect co-pays or deductibles. Screen and approve patients for financial assistance programs, counsel patients on application processes, and assist with request for information forms. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound telephone calls, refer complex questions as needed, and gather medical record information. Work day and evening hours Monday through Friday, including weekends, on a per diem basis.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work day & evening hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
- Ability to work on a Per Diem basis within 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd shift, including weekends
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs occasionally and 2-5 lbs frequently
