Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and insurance information while entering data into the electronic medical record. Check in with patients to complete paperwork, direct them to appointments, and resolve claim issues or registration errors. Verify insurance eligibility, explain cost information, collect co-pays, and screen applicants for financial assistance programs. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound calls, answer questions about financial assistance, and refer complex inquiries as needed. Work day and evening hours Monday through Friday, including weekends, on a per diem basis.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work day & evening hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
- Ability to work on a Per Diem basis within 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd shift, including weekends
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs occasionally and 2-5 lbs frequently
