Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients recovering from total hip and knee replacements in their home setting, focusing on safe bed mobility, transfers, and ambulation. Conduct initial evaluations, daily notes, reassessments, and discharge planning while synthesizing results to formulate diagnoses and treatment plans. Administer functional training for ADLs and IADLs, prescribe therapeutic activities and rehabilitation equipment, and provide education on precautions and community reintegration. Record all care data and treatment interventions using Prompt EMR, manage daily billing, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to modify plans as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state practicing in
- Completed state regulated CEU requirement in appropriate state (NY, NJ)
- Valid CPR License
- Strong orthopedic background with specialization in Total Hip and Total Knee replacement rehabilitation
- Masters or better
- Bachelors or better
