Job Summary
Per Diem Occupational Therapist conducts assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities; develops individualized treatment plans based on assessments; implements and monitors treatment plans with adjustments as needed; provides education to patients and families about therapeutic activities and exercises for home; collaborates with physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to deliver comprehensive care; maintains accurate patient records and progress notes; attends staff meetings and continuing education to stay current with techniques and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licenses and Credentials: State License (Occupational Therapist)
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Experience: occupational therapist experience 0-1 year preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with patients and co-workers; medical terminology; time management; communication; interpersonal skills
