Job Summary
Obtain patient history and perform physical exams, then order, interpret, and address screening and diagnostic testing results. Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and counsel patients on preventive education and health promotion. Provide medication or surgical abortion follow-up, refer patients for prenatal care or adoption services, and counsel HIV-positive clients. Supervise clinic support staff, collaborate with the medical team to meet productivity benchmarks, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA and coding requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality, stay current on reproductive health developments, and follow protocols for expanding scope of practice including ultrasound and IUD insertion.
Required Qualifications
- Current active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse and APN in state you are applying for the role
- Ability to obtain additional state license(s) upon hire
- Active license as a Physician Assistant
- Current national board-certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or a Physician Assistant
- DEA license
- Enrollment in Controlled Substance Monitoring Program as applicable in state you are applying for the role
- Advanced degree, minimally Master's Degree
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification for healthcare providers
- Hepatitis B vaccination records
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization
- Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months
- Ability to obtain additional state license(s) upon hire or active license as a Physician Assistant
